So, like many others our age, we spend inordinate amounts of time on the Internet, especially when we’re supposed to be working. Over the years, we’ve found what we believe to be the best websites to waste time. For you guys, we’re going to try to make a list of these websites, just in case you’re really bored. They’re in no particular order except the order in which they came to our (mostly Szlachta’s) minds.

  1. Facebook

No explanation really needed.

  1. Kongregate

Run by Gamestop, it offers endless free games. ENDLESS. And new ones come out every week!

  1. Cracked

One of my favorite humor websites—you can find humor articles on pretty much anything.

  1. 11 Points

It’s a humor website that puts all of its articles in, you guessed it, eleven point lists. Oh, the hilarity.

  1. Sporcle

Simple quizzes and puzzles on any number of subjects—literature, movies, music, games, geography, word games…

  1. Typeracer

You race. By typing. Against other people. There’s even a little car to show if you’re winning.

  1. Gamespot

Game reviews, previews, trailers, gameplay videos, ratings… almost everything a good gamer could ever want.

  1. XKCD

One of my favorite webcomics—plenty of sarcasm and nerdy references.

  1. Penny Arcade

One of my other favorite webcomics—more gaming-centered, really fun stuff.

  1. Amazon

Oh, I just need to order a new book, so I’ll click on—OH MY GOSH LOOK AT ALL THIS COOL STUFF.

  1. Or, alternatively, eBay

See #10.

  1. Hypem

More commonly known as “The Hype Machine,” it’s the place to find new music and amazing remixes. Tracks put up by enterprising DJs trying to get their names out there frequently offer download links—legal free music! Also, it offers you a place to find the top music blogs and follow the ones you like. Szlachta recommends “White Folks Get Crunk” and “GottaDanceDirty.”

  1. GrooveShark

This is the place to listen to the top 40 songs over and over and over and over again. “I can’t stop listening to ‘I Wanna Go’ by Britney Spears” – AUParty.

  1. That Video Game Music Website

Whoever made this is awesome. It’s a compilation of a ton of video game music. Eargasm galore.
