The Quest to Become Lord and Master of the Internet

So, all of us at UnicornParty have been ridiculously busy with school and whatnot recently, so we haven’t really been working on articles/videos/commentaries. BUT HAVE NO FEAR: NEW CONTENT IS COMING. Seriously, though, we just do floods of content. We don’t do this halfway. To hold you over until the next wave of real articles, I’m just sort of planning to ramble aimlessly and put random links in the rest of this post. Don’t worry, they’re all great, and hopefully you will find my rambling at least sort of satisfying. *Commence rambling* Since the start of school, I’ve met a...

*Commence rambling*

Since the start of school, I’ve met a group of really awesome people, most of whom are far more knowledgeable than me when it comes to the realm of TEH INTERWEBS. With their guidance, I’ve greatly expanded my power over this strange and wonderful land, to the point where one might consider me a thane of sorts (yes, I have been playing far too much Skyrim in the past two weeks). As I continue to venture forth into places I had no idea even existed, I’d like to share some of my favorite “discoveries” with you (even though they’re not actually discoveries, since so many people have known about them forever).

The first of these is by far my favorite; however, it will consume your life and your soul if you let it. I am talking, of course, about HOMESTUCK, Andrew Hussie’s web comic sensation. It is actually sort of impossible to describe except in its most basic form. Essentially, it’s a linear form of “choose-your-own-adventure,” and is part story, part puzzle, and all awesome. Every single one of you needs to read it; however, do not start it unless you have a lot of time to spare—you will get addicted after the first couple acts, and since the series is currently in its sixth act, it takes quite a bit of investment to get current.

Okay, my other discoveries actually mostly branch off of the Homestuck discovery, so we’re going to abruptly change topics now instead of listing anything else. I’ve been listening to a lot of different music lately, as is the result of living with so many new people with so many different tastes. I have friends who are into indie rock, classic rock, dubstep, mashup, country, classical, and pretty much anything else I could list as a genre. As such, I have some links for anyone looking for particular moods of music.

First: Party/clubbing/I really need to get out music

3LAU is good for this. This playlist is good for you. Life is good in general.

Other artists you might like: Girl Talk, E-603, Super Mash Bros, Skrillex

Second: Study music

This playlist is so chill. It incorporates movie soundtracks and famous classical pieces. You will get so much done while listening to it.

Other artists you might like: John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, etc.

Third: What are you talking about? You don’t need anything else. Seriously, those two scenarios are my life.

Let’s see… what else can I tell you to distract you from the fact that there’s been no new content for over two months… oh, of course! VIDEO GAMES. We’re going to be posting a Skyrim review soon, as well as (potentially) some videos. Also, I’m going to write an article documenting my first experience with Amnesia: The Dark Descent (older game, I know, but still terrifying). We’ll also be writing about more things that I can’t think of right now.

Maybe we’ll write about life. Or maybe we’ll write a comparison of our different college experiences thus far. We shall see.

CONTENT.

IT’S COMING.
